Christmas Miracles
The angel Gabriel said, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.” Luke 1:30-33

The magic of Christmas imbues everyone and everything for the season. Whether or not one is a Christian, there is something unique about the exciting festivities, inspiring songs, and uniting traditions that electrifies the imagination for child and adult alike. From a secular perspective, people love fun, gift giving, and family engagement. Commercial businesses leverage the season for profits and marketers create magical messaging to capture the spirit of the season. Non-profits receive many donations as people love to help those in need. No other holiday offers so much inspiration, joy, and magic as Christmas! Yet beyond these cultural enticements, Christmas is far more profound for every Christian as we celebrate the miracle birth of Jesus!
Promise Fulfilled
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 This is but one of over 300 prophesies in the Bible for which Jesus is the fulfillment! This probability is infinitesimal, so it is a miracle that one person fulfilled centuries of prophecies written by many prophets who spoke under the inspiration of the Spirit of God. Their accuracy is only by the providence of God! He loved His creation so much that with mercy and grace God in His omnipotence performed the miracle of Christmas. In the Father’s chosen time, through His chosen people, and in His chosen land of Zion, Jesus, Savior of the world was born of a virgin, in the little town of Bethlehem, just as the prophets foretold.
Miracle of Miracles
Christmas is not one miracle, but a host of miracles. By the immaculate conception Jesus was both son of man and son of God, which was necessary for Jesus to qualify as Savior of humankind. He had to live as a sinless man which was only possible because He was also divine. Who but God could conceive such an amazing miracle to restore His relationship to fallen humanity? Even in the Garden of Eden when Adam and Eve sinned against God, He planned their redemption and inspired Moses to write the very first prophecy of a coming Savior: “I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring] and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.” Genesis 3:15
Angelic Miracles
Angels announced God’s divine intervention to Mary, Joseph, Zacheriah, and the Bethlehem shepherds. The miracle announcements confirmed the plan of God and prepared them for their unique roles in Jesus’ birth. The proclamation of a census by King Herod was God’s timing to take Mary and Joseph from Nazareth to their ancestral home in Bethlehem just in time for Mary to give birth. Herod had no idea he was enabling fulfillment of prophesy, but God did!
Wise Men Follow the Star
After Jesus’ birth the arrival of wise men from the East who saw the prophetic star over Judea was another miracle of God: Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem, saying, “Where is he who has been born king of the Jews? For we saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.” Matthew 2: 1-2
They brought priceless royal gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh for Jesus that financed Mary’s and Joseph’s escape from Herod, driven to maniacal fear of a usurper after meeting with the wise men. Mary and Joseph traveled to Egypt, another prophetic fulfillment. After the death of Herod, Mary and Joseph with son Jesus returned to Judea and lived in Nazareth to fulfill yet another Messianic prophecy of the life Jesus. When Herod died, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, saying, “Rise, take the child and his mother and go to the land of Israel, for those who sought the child’s life are dead.” Matthew 2:19-20
Divine Protection of the Savior
God’s protection of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, was indeed miraculous! They were able to escape Herod, and then return to Israel to fulfill all other prophecies of the Messiah’s first coming, who as a Rabbi preached to the people and performed many miracles establishing His authority as the Son of God and Savior of the world: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. John 3:16-18
Jesus’ Gospel Commission
Jesus prepared His disciples to carry the gospel message throughout the world after His sacrificial death, resurrection, and ascension: Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28: 18-20
The gospel message spread throughout the Roman Empire and beyond; to this day Christians carry the gospel message to all peoples to fulfill Jesus’ end time prophecy. Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection occurred during the Jewish Passover for just as God saved the Hebrew people from Egyptian bondage, Jesus offers salvation from the bondage of sin for both Jew and Gentile. The Passover lamb in Exodus is a foreshadowing of the Messiah Jesus as the Lamb of God (Genesis 22:8, John 1:29 and Revelation 15:3)! As the many prophesies of Messiah’s first coming were fulfilled, so shall those of Messiah’s second coming be fulfilled as the Lion of Judah (Revelation 5:5) and King of kings (Revelation 19:16).
Christmas Traditions
Celebrating the birthday of Jesus came later in Christian history established on December 25th by Roman bishops in AD 354. Gift giving was associated with St. Nicholas in Lycia, who threw gifts into homes to the delight of children. While some traditions have pagan origins, one of the most loved traditions is the singing of Christmas carols begun in the thirteenth century. Whatever traditions you celebrate, without the miracle birth of Jesus, none would be possible. Jesus is the greatest gift of all time, the gift of salvation from God the Father to a world lost in sin.
Modern Miracles
Because God’s character is the same yesterday, today, and forever, God continues to intervene in our lives and in the world: The LORD said to me, “You are my Son; today I have begotten you. Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession. You shall break them with a rod of iron and dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.” Now therefore, O kings, be wise; be warned, O rulers of the earth… Blessed are all who take refuge in him. Psalm 2: 7-12
Modern Israel is the fulfillment of Ezekiel’s prophesy of the valley of dry bones (Ezekiel 37) after 2000 years of Jewish global dispersion. God’s everlasting land covenant with the Jewish people enabled Israel’s rebirth in 1948 and was truly miraculous. The ongoing spiritual battle of Satanic powers against God are the root cause of antisemitism now manifesting worldwide. An ancient battle from the time of Abraham, it shall culminate in fulfillment of end time prophecies. The October 7th invasion of Israel perpetrated by Iran through its proxy Hamas and ensuing war with other surrounding proxies and directly with Iran is a present-day foreshadowing of the end time prophesies. While Satan’s “head was bruised” through the Resurrection of Jesus, his final demise is yet to come. As Psalm 2 declares, God’s will shall prevail.
With God in sovereign control, Christians worldwide believe God has given the US a reprieve in the stunning November election. This is no small miracle, as the Left for years has espoused godless, socialist, and anti-Biblical policies that mock God’s creation of male and female, His institution of marriage between a man and woman, and the sanctity of life. Christians are grateful for His mercy and pray for America to return to her founding Judeo Christian values and the Constitution. May God continue to bless America with revival, restore godly policies that promote freedom, faith, and family, and “Make America Godly Again”!
Miracle of Miracles

Epilogue: Recently the movie Reagan was released which recounts President Ronald Reagan’s life through the eyes of a Russian negotiator as he shares with a young Russian leader why the USSR fell. It is a fascinating perspective of the global impact of Reagan’s presidency. The parallel with Donald Trump’s presidency is striking. Both men were inspired to run for president by love of country, attacked by the deep state and left, prophesied over regarding their presidential destinies, survived assassination attempts, won re-election with a popular mandate, supported Israel, and sought to follow Judeo Christian values and the Constitution. While the 80’s was another era, many of the same challenges faced America that are prevalent today given the root cause which is globalists seeking control empowered by demonic, anti-God forces.
From another perspective, Jonathan Cahn in The Dragon’ Prophecy: Israel, the Dark Resurrection, and the End of Days, shares parallels from scripture for America’s and Israel’s challenges and battles with the satanic dragon. He exposes the Philistine roots of Gaza and their ancient hatred for the Israelites then governed by King David. Cahn shares the fascinating parallel’s of Israel’s rebirth in 1948 with the faux rebirth of Gazan’s as Palestinians, assuming the ancient hatred of the long destroyed Philistinian civilization and people. Satan is the great deceiver who seeks to imitate God’s agenda with a similar but twisted strategy. The reality of the Gazan claims to the land are not based on true ancestry, but a falsified identification based on this ancient hatred for the destruction of God’s people and land.
